Asked Questions What is the cost of the service? ScriptWave is a flat-fee file transfer service: there is no charge for the amount of work that you do. Rates are based on the number of Medical Transcriptionists who participate. There is no charge to add physicians to the list of clients for a MT. See the RateCard. Do I need to sign a long-term contract to
use ScriptWave? ScriptWave can be used on a monthly basis and can be shut-down or reactivated upon request. There is no long-term contract. If I add a physician to my client list, how much
does it cost to add to ScriptWave? There is no cost to add Physicians. ScriptWave
support will provide the physician with an activation code and
installation instructions. My physician wants to send
the dictation file to me, but the physician wants to return the
transcribed file to an administrator at the office.
Can ScriptWave do this? Yes. Scriptwave can receive files from one or multiple physicians in an office and return work to one or multiple office administrators at that office. There is no charge for this service. Other services have limits to file transfer.
What is the limit for the size of file transfer? There is no
limit to the amount of file transfer.
Each Transcriptionist in a group will need a license to complete work.
ScriptWave is unlimited for the amount of work a single
Transcriptionist can
personally complete. Is the installation difficult? The
installation can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Because all file transfer and tracking is
automatic, there is very little training for both Transcriptionists and physicians.
Once dictation files and documents are imported into the ScriptWave,
other tasks are done with easy or single-click commands. What are the system requirements? ScriptWave is capable of running on any
supported level of Microsoft Windows. Your PC will require a
broadband Internet connection. My dictation
files are large. Can I use my
PC while ScriptWave is sending or receiving files? Yes. ScriptWave
is threaded to allow you to use other Windows programs while all
communication events are running. What types of
Dictation formats are supported? ScriptWave detects msv, dvf, mp3, wav and dss audio files. We can add additional formats to ScriptWave upon request. How effective is
ScriptWave’s security? ScriptWave uses multiple techniques to
balance convenience of use and secure file retention and transfer.

ScriptWave comply with HIPAA? ScriptWave uses multiple encryption
techniques to go beyond the 128 bit encryption used by most services.
ScriptWave developers and technical support technicians review and
sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement related to all medical

for an enhancement that would make ScriptWave work better for my business.
Can I request improvements to ScriptWave? The ScriptWave technical team will look to
add constant improvements to the service in 2007.
