Dictation Import Screen

ScriptWave will import dictation files from recorders or tape for the physician (NOTE: tapes can be imported to ScriptWave through the Dictate tab).  After using software to encode any tapes to digital audio files, copy the dictation file to the folder defined in preferences:

Once the files are copied to this folder, ScriptWave will detect them and prepare them for transmission.  In this example, a dictation file named Audio001.mp3 is placed in the Dictation folder.

ScriptWave will see the file and show the Dictation Import Screen.  The physician’s name on the registered copy of ScriptWave will be the default physician name.

To make this a priority dictation file, select the Priority button.

Any additional comments that will be visible to the typist can be placed below the file name.

To complete the file and move it to the Received category on the Status of Work tab, select the Save button.
