FTP Tab

ScriptWave developers realized that not all content sent between the lead typist and the assistant typists was related to transcription and dictation from physicians.  ScriptWave has a generic FTP transfer that allows any file to be transferred from one typist PC to another.

Important: All files sent through FTP are sent as encrypted files and use Secure FTP to give this feature the same level of security as all other files sent through ScriptWave.  You can be confident that these files are secure.

To send a file, select the typist who will receive the file.

Next, use the diskette to select a file with a file dialog.

 

Finally, select the Globe to transmit the file and see the progress of the transmission.

In the next communication session by the receiving typist, the file will transfer to their workstation and be placed in the:

C:\ScriptWave\FTP folder.

The receiving typist will see an Alert called FTP and the ScriptWave icon in the task bar will flash yellow.

To clear the FTP screen and prepare to send a new file, select the clear button:
